Nude photograph scandal’s leading actor, Edison Chen will be returning to Hong Kong this week.
It has been reported that the performer decided on the early come back, so that he could assist Hong Kong police in finding ‘Kira’ and to attend a promotional event on the 23rd, which he had previously signed a contract to attend.
Failure to attend the function, may lead to Edison paying $1,000,000 in compensation.
Reports have revealed that after fleeing to Boston, USA, Edison Chen refused to return to Hong Kong to assist police and instead instructed his driver, Ah Long, or a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
But as the issue seems to be worsening, police and his boss, Mr Lin (林建岳) have requested for him to come back. Edison then finally made the decision to spend Valentines Day with his girlfriend, Vincy Yeung and then return to Hong Kong.
Edison Chen, who is the spokesperson for quite a few companies, has been receiving legal letters from his sponsors warning him that he had broken a term of the contract because his actions have harmed the image of the company.
One company has firmly stated that if Edison does not attend the promotional event scheduled on the 23rd, he will have to comply with the terms of the contract and pay $1,000,000 in compensation.
When his management company was asked to confirm the details, the spokesperson for the company, Miss Leung said, “I do not know. The tabloids know more than we do.
We have to wait for Edison to come back and hear what he has to say.”

The nude photographs of suspected artistes scandal have caused great disturbance whist it is the hottest topic of the town.
Edison Chen has also become the target of public criticism. Aside from rumours that someone had issued the ‘underworld oder, to kill’, even web netizens are not happy with his evasion of the matter and escaping to America.
Yesterday, close to 25,000 web netizens felt that Edison should bare responsibilty with regards to this scandal and leave the entertainment line.
This scandal have already received global attention and the outflow of nude photographs of suspected entertainers seem to be endless.
After 2 days of non activity, the uploader attacked again yesterday with the launch of 2 more obscene nude photographs online of suspected Edison and Rachel Ngan in the nude.
As it now seems that the scandal will not be subsiding anytime soon, it is reported that more and more people are resentful and discontented with Edison Chen.
It is rumoured that now certain influential figure have sent out ‘underworld orders. to chase down and kill’.
From the start of the scandal, Edison chose to evade and escaped to the US. His action has resulted in wide discontent with global web users.
This included a vote in Taiwan’s Yahoo website ‘Should Edison Chen withdraw from the entertainment circle’. Out of 39,165 voters, two thirds (25,667 votes) of the votes cast wanted Edison to withdraw.
Due to this scandal and the reactions by the web netizens, it has cast very big doubt on Edison’s future prospect.
Moreover, there were many web users who teased and from one of the user who wrote: ‘Edison, if you agree to admit, the whole of HK web users will let you off’.
In addition, the Tse household have move house to avoid the reporters. Eversince the scandal broke, Cecilia Cheung has not make any public appearance and articles reported have not been advantageous to her.
There were lots of rumours spread about Cecilia Cheung. With rumours of quarrels with Deboral and divorce with husband Nicholas Tse.
There were also reports of Cecilia Cheung being expelled from the Tse’s household yesterday.
Eventhough with all these bad press, many web netizens still voice their support for Cecilia Cheung urging all parties to reconcile on the account of their son, Lucas Tse.
